patent leather shoes and overworked 'miss' blues
Fuck me I need to stop browsing the Rhetoric Department's website and finish my goddamn Feminist Approaches to Science + Technology paper, in order that I may start the next paper soon. Soon as in tomorrow. Fuck.
Also today I went shopping w/my mom to get an outfit for my cousin's Bat Mitzvah. I came out alright, but oh man...shopping can be so panic-inducing. If I hear one more "Miss" or "ladies" I might seriously boot. I didn't mind though when a saleswoman told me, "Mm, Mami, you're rocking that hat!" I also hate 'women's' black dress pants and so-called 'blouses' with darts, and when my mom talks about me "wearing that thing to mash down [my] breasts" in front of salespeople-- soo inappropriate. But anyway, a boy can make do with a shirt with darts if it's in a dashing this-side-of-blue lavender and paired with a black cable knit v-neck sweater. Tie or ascot? I'm leaning toward an ascot but now I have a fancy tie so I may have fucked that up. I also have shiny shiny patent shoes which are as butch (in that horribly prissygay way) as I could do in the women's shoe section. Bless me and my little feet.
