take that heidegger, now i'm talking about breasts instead of presence-at-hand

I am so inappropriate. I wrote about One “is” a woman or man not because these are disciplined categories of human intelligibility, but because one “feels” like a woman, one understands one’s authentic self as emanating from an essential “womanliness” which is perhaps lodged somewhere between the ribs and the fatty tissue of the breasts. in my Heidegger paper. I talked about triangulation in an email to the Turkish boy (I feel like calling him that, in a similar but entirely different fashion to Nicole's Cuban) who is good at alluding to things. Que d'autre. I guess that was all the textual indiscretion today.

So what dyou think about me taking:
Seminar on Capitalism and Global Justice w/Uma
Weight Training (that's right guys, I might be a pansy, but...nevermind)
Verse Writing
and something else
next year? I'm trying to deal with the fact that Vassar College is fucking me over by taking classes that are available in the fall that I want to take anyway, and trusting that the things I actually need---like a bunch of upper-level WMST courses, seminar in Continental Philosophy, 19th Century Philosophy, Fem Theory, et al--- will be available senior year. I usually put plenty of stock in "Trust in the g-ddess, s/he will provide for you" but when it comes to the trickery of VC, it's hard to hold my course.

And now, to get mildly dapper before I go out.

OOOO

You should take Verse writing if you get in! Uma sounds good. I need to figure out what I am taking besides Victorian lit and a possible thesis. Sigh.

uma seminar counts as a womens studies course if you want it to but it was the most unpleasant class ive taken at vassar. we should talk more in detail about this

Weight training for sure. It'll be a cool addition to your week.

Yeah, absolutely. I'm really excited, especially because as of now my classes seem to be "weight-lifting, poetry, and capitalism."

Good for the mind, good for the body.
