(reading about) capitalism is a downer

As much as I love and respect my professor, I could really metaphorically kill Uma just about now. I just finished the first mind-numbingly boring packets of Polanyi readings, only to see that I've still got literally 240 more pages of reading to do today...probably 70 of which is more motherfucking Polanyi...Oy gevalt. And this needs to get done because tonight's the dinner party at 7 and then fun oh Goddess help me. (She is saying, "Lunch and diet coke, stat. Then work, boy." I'm not gonna disobey.)
