time for word?

I had finally worked out a really hard page of this thesis, had been pressing apple-S intermittently to make sure it was saved, and then it was all lost because for some reason apple-S didn't do anything. (I'd renamed the document while it was open, but that's the only thing I can think of.) G-d damn it! So now I'm trying to be calm and reconstruct my argument, tell myself that what I wrote before helped me work out my ideas and won't necessarily be any better than what I come up with now, but man.
