I want to study philosophy than I have space/time for at Vassar.

-poetry and magic with Diane DiPrima in San Francisco before she gets too old. I really, really need to figure out how to do this.

-the Feri tradition, with a flesh-and-blood teacher.

-and the Reclaiming tradition for that matter, also in the space of a community.

Early tomorrow afternoon I have that double whammy of a counselling session with my dad. And by fun I mean I'm masochistic and I think it will be good to get all the painful shit out in the air so it can eventually be worked through some way or another. I'm trying to ground and center myself enough that I can operate from a place of calm awareness, without having to set up pretenses of certainty which I will then have to defend.

This is the kind of talk which cannot be Us vs Them.

Today it was a steambath and work was slow but charged with conflict. I made delicious stirfry for the staff and then I got to home super early. My car ride home was delightful, downpour pummeling my nice new windshield wipers.

okay, i don't actually post on strap on. i've been on-and-off idly lurking on it for a few years though. i feel like if i posted, i might get rightly torn down by some older and wiser academics. haha, anyway thanx for adding me back.
