quel jour ennuyeux
Nov. 2nd, 2005 05:06 pmI hate the new LJ bar. The old one was so automatic.
That said, I have plans of going to the gym within the hour. I ate dinner first which was kind of stupid--but I was hungry.
Today I:
-said this prayer when I Nishmat chayay t'vareykh/v'kerev libi yashir:/Kol od n'shamah b'kirbi/modeh ani which is by Marcia Falk and evidently means "The breath of my life will bless, the cells of my being sing in gratitude, reawakening" which I just think is so perfect and beautiful.
-...went to meet with McCarthy at 9:20ish but he had someone else in his office, so I dropped off the work I'd done for him and left. I was a little bummed cos I'd totally hustled to be there early before my weight-lifting class at 10, but then I went outside and sat on the ground by a big tree on a bunch of crunchy leaves and read some of book VII of the Republic before weight-lifting.
-went to meet with Murray at 11:15 but he had someone else in his office, so I waited and waited then we reschedule for next week.
-sensing a theme? Man these philosophy profs have to get their shit together! I was actually disappointed to not get to speak with Murray.
-met with Rena (the rabbi) to go over transliterations and format for my service. I'm actually really excited (and nervous too of course.)
-ate Fresco Tortilla which, while dirt cheap, also somehow cost me $7. So no more eating off-campus for a while.
-decided it would be to roll a paltry spliff and read Multitude. Needless to say what ended up happening was, "Oh, I don't feel stoned at all...guess there was too much tobacc---whoa, time to curl under the covers with Hardt and Negri and then fall asleep even though it's 3 in the afternoon."
-hustled to the CVS to get passport-size photos taken to send for JYA stuff. They are so bad and cost $8. I've got these ridiculous eye circles and a sort of simpering/wistful smile. Oh being unphotogenic.
-really miss Val, suddenly.

Date: 2005-11-03 03:17 am (UTC)I don't know, the more I look at the picture the worse it gets. Now I think it kinda looks like I'm taking a contemplative shit. Hrmph.
My actual passport picture, though, is like 4 years old, bad bad hair, bad bad expression.
