I really do think that "One Beat" is one of my all-time favorite songs.
Yesterday I made an amazing stir fry but I managed to wait until today to write about it. It was lentils, spinach, brown rice and tofu but with a delicious curry rub with coconut, lime juice, and ginger and garlic-chili sauce...With a toasted whole wheat pita with a dab of butter, it was really amazing.
I woke up at 9 today. Why is it I'm only just now starting in on the notes for my paper? This paper, by the way, is gonna kick my ass. How do I disrupt Marx's historical narrative? Why, by reading the postcolonialist Blaut against him, of course, to show that the development of capitalism was not some organic outgrowth of feudalism but was rather intimately dependent on the colonial projects of Europe. Thing is, I'm not sure I understand any of this well enough to dig into such an involved critique. Alors, c'est dommage...
