I love that Kanye West is sampling Gil Scott-Heron on this song. I hope it makes people go out and buy Gil's records.
Also I just gave myself a really bad trim. Whoa. Someone at Vassar who's as good as/better than me at cutting hair needs to help me with the back, please.
Back to Plato. Then a nap. I'm skipping an important meeting to work and nap. Care of the self, as it were. Kyle visited yesterday and it was delightful. I might go bowling with Max tonight, which would be fun because it will be emphatically noncompetitive (at least that's the plan.) It's funny cos I actually have a competitive streak but I am just so bad at anything that falls into traditionally-competitive realms (like, you know, sports or pool or bowling or whatever) that it's practically a möot point. I think it comes out in my passion for yarguing, though, where it becomes less about competition and more about 'good-natured' aggression.
