I think it's interesting how the Catholic church is trying to hold up constructions of homosexuality that have been transgressed... You know, like there's such 'real' sexual variation, that theoretically undermines the construction of homosexuality, so the Church is not only maintaining an atmosphere of unwelcome-ness to people considered 'gay', but also the construction of homosexuality itself.

no it's very interesting. it's just a shame (though not at all surprising) that they're using it like this. it's always interesting to me when totally oppositional political powers will have flipside of each other's rhetoric.
