Okay, that was way rad until that poorly constructed last sentence which implies that Foucault's "obsession" with power dynamics drove him to those simply horrid! SM clubs. The way that last thing is phrased makes it seem like he got AIDS as some sort of sad but perhaps deserved consequence to fucking men and fucking with power. Pah.
