-shit between Cristina and me is weird. (maybe i don't win?)
-i don't like writing one page essays. about anything. except maybe feminism. it seems, however, that wmst is such that i don't have to write fucken one page essays.
-the sparkle-shit snow is back. spit spit.
-still exhausted. been in the library for an hour and a half and have oh a paragraph about how sweatshops are linked to neoliberal capitalist exploitation and have yet to make the argument that the notion that they are justified in that they provide cheap commodities for consumers is bullshit. it's almost too obvious. reach reach.
-i want to go into my warm bed but the walk back is cold and treacherous. i want to read eileen myles but instead i get to read "the twilight of the idols."

Date: 2005-02-21 08:03 am (UTC)my first thought when i read about the chomping gum was that i'm usually that girl, but i always get apologetic, asking people to tell me stomp chomping and talking, or warning someone on an adjacent machine at the gym that i forgot to put on deoderant.
my mind is racing from drugs and papers right now, but remind me i want to have a talk to you about relationships. and, um, where's my hat? it makes me so happy that you remembered. now i can be a fetishized commodity.
in a related note have you EVER written a paper that doesn't talk about the other, or taken a class that doesn't talk about marx? cause i'm pretty sure i haven't. my head hurts i'm going to go smoke pot.

Date: 2005-02-21 02:47 pm (UTC)yes I've had classes that didn't directly invoke Marx's name, and while the Other is not explicitly referenced in all my papers I feel like when yer trying to dismantle binary oppositions in every paper you write it's implicit. Um I just woke up.
