Okay, so I can't read bus schedules. But I made my way from Manhattan to NJ just fine, and drove down to the shore well enough considering I'm running on one hour of sleep.

And guess what?

I got the job. So now I'm a cook, at a "Caribbean" (let's unpack that) restaurant, working with a chef who I have absolutely no desire to bottom to which will be interesting for a change, and making $9 an hour.

Which, to be fair, is more than I've ever made ever.

Thank the gods.


ps- I don't have to train til the 30th, which is next Friday!
pps- and I get to work nights, 4-11, instead of 10am til whenever!

very soon! I've never seen the Jersey shore. this summer seems like a good time to fix that.

Awesome. Come down the shore and visit me! You can probably take a creepy NJ Transit bus to some place like Manahawkin or Tom's River and I can come get you in my car. Bring Taylor and Ben.

ps-I forgot you were from Oregon for a minute and was about to castigate you for never being down the shore. Wow, I am so NE-centric!
